राधा अष्टमी मंत्र

Radha Ashtami falls on the Ashtami (8th day) of the bright fortnight of Bhadrapada, usually in August–September, fifteen days after Krishna Janmashtami. It is celebrated grandly in Barsana (Radha's birthplace) and across Vrindavan.
Who is Radha Rani?▼
Radha is the eternal consort and supreme devotee of Sri Krishna, born in Barsana. She embodies the highest form of selfless, all-absorbing love for God (prema-bhakti). In the Vaishnava tradition she is Krishna's hladini shakti — his very power of bliss — so "Radhe Radhe" is chanted to reach Krishna.
How is Radha Ashtami observed?▼
Devotees fast (often until noon, Radha's birth time), bathe and adorn Radha-Krishna, offer bhog, recite the Radha Chalisa, sing aartis and the Mahamantra, and greet one another with "Radhe Radhe". Visiting Barsana and Vrindavan is especially auspicious.
