राधा अष्टमी मंत्र
Radha Ashtami (राधा अष्टमी) celebrates the appearance of Radha Rani — the eternal beloved of Sri Krishna and the embodiment of the highest, purest devotion (prema-bhakti). It falls on the Ashtami of the bright fortnight of Bhadrapada, fifteen days after Krishna Janmashtami. To worship Radha is to please Krishna, for he is bound by her love. These are the mantras and prayers for Radha Ashtami.
Radha Chalisa
The forty-verse hymn to Radha Rani, recited on Radha Ashtami to invoke her grace and the bhakti that draws Krishna near.
Hare Krishna Mahamantra
The great mantra opens with "Hare" — an address to Radha (Harā). Chanting "Radhe Krishna" and the Mahamantra is the heart of Radha Ashtami.
Madhurashtakam
Vallabhacharya's "Adharam Madhuram" — everything about Krishna is sweet. A melodious offering for the festival of his beloved Radha.
Banke Bihari Aarti
The aarti of Banke Bihari of Vrindavan, the form of Krishna inseparable from Radha — sung with joy on Radha Ashtami.
Krishna Chalisa
The hymn to Lord Krishna — worshipped together with Radha as "Radha-Krishna", the divine couple of Vrindavan.
