तुलसी विवाह मंत्र — तुलसी-शालिग्राम विवाह

Tulsi Vivah (तुलसी विवाह) is the ceremonial marriage of the Tulsi plant (the goddess Vrinda) to Lord Vishnu in the form of the Shaligram, performed on Kartik Shukla Dwadashi after Dev Uthani Ekadashi. It marks the end of Chaturmas and the start of the auspicious wedding season. These are the mantras for Tulsi Vivah.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Tulsi Vivah 2026?
Tulsi Vivah is performed on the twelfth day (Dwadashi) of Kartik Shukla Paksha, the day after Dev Uthani (Prabodhini) Ekadashi, in October–November. It marks the awakening of Vishnu and the start of the wedding season.
How to do Tulsi Vivah at home?
Decorate the Tulsi plant as a bride with a chunri, bangles and a mandap. Place a Shaligram or Krishna idol beside her as the groom. Perform the wedding rituals — apply haldi, tie the mangalsutra, do the gathbandhan and seven pheras — while chanting Vishnu mantras, then sing the Tulsi Aarti and distribute prasad.
What is the significance of Tulsi Vivah?
Tulsi (Vrinda) was a devoted woman whom Vishnu blessed to be eternally dear to him as the Tulsi plant. Her ceremonial marriage to Vishnu (Shaligram) restores cosmic harmony, ends the four-month Chaturmas, and ushers in the wedding season. Performing Tulsi Vivah is believed to bring the merit of giving a daughter in marriage (Kanyadaan).
