The Shanmukha Bhujangam is traditionally ascribed to Sringeri Acharya. A hymn to Shanmukha — the six-faced Lord Murugan (Subrahmanya, Kartikeya) — in the undulating Bhujanga ("serpent") metre, adoring the divine commander of the gods and bestower of wisdom and protection.
