ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ କଥା

Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmya), Markandeya Purana — Narayani Stuti, Chapter 11 · Sage Markandeya (traditional) · Ancient (c. 4th–6th century CE in present form)

After the Goddess destroys Shumbha, Nishumbha and Mahishasura, the devas gather to praise her in the Narayani Stuti. This verse is its crown — saluting her as the auspiciousness within all auspicious things and as Narayani, the eternal Shakti behind the cosmic cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution. Over centuries it became the universal closing prayer of all Devi worship.

ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ କୁହାଯାଇଥିବା ପରି

Devotees hold that no worship of the Goddess is complete without this verse — it is said to make good whatever was lacking or imperfect in the puja. Across India it is chanted to bless brides, to open shops and homes, and to seal the Navratri paath, trusted to draw the Devi's protective grace over every endeavour.
