īṣatsahāsamamalaṃ paripūrṇacandra- bimbānukāri kanakottamakāntikāntam atyadbhutaṃ prahṛtamāttaruṣā tathāpi vaktraṃ vilokya sahasā mahiṣāsureṇa
Meaning
Slightly smiling, spotless, resembling the orb of the full moon, lovely as the finest gold in lustre was your face — and yet, how very strange, that Mahishasura, his fury roused, on suddenly beholding it, struck at it!
