This stotra is traditionally chanted BEFORE reading the Durga Saptashati (Chandi Path). Lord Shiva tells Parvati that by chanting just this stotra, one gets the complete fruit of the entire 700-verse Saptashati — without needing the Kavach, Argala, Keelakam or any other preparation. Sit before Durga's image. Light a ghee diya. Chant with intense focus and devotion. The bija mantras (Aim, Hreem, Kleem) should be pronounced precisely. During Navratri, chant daily for 9 days.
