राहु मंत्र in Punjabi (Gurmukhi)
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ
Origin & Story
The Vedic Navagraha mantra of Rahu (the north lunar node) · Traditional (Vedic Jyotish)
In Vedic astrology (jyotish) the nine grahas shape the course of life, and each has its own mantra for blessing and remedy. "Om Ram Rahave Namah" is the mantra of Rahu (the north lunar node), which governs ambition, sudden change, foreign connections, illusion — and the Rahu and Kaal Sarp dosha. When the planet is weak or malefic in the horoscope, sages prescribed chanting its mantra — together with charity, fasting on its day (Saturday and during Rahu Kaal), worship of its deity and its gemstone (Hessonite (Gomed)) — to strengthen its grace and soften its difficulties.

Benefits of Chanting राहु मंत्र
The Vedic mantra of Rahu (the north lunar node), chanted to strengthen the planet in the horoscope and to calm its malefic (ashubh) effects
Recited as a jyotish (astrology) remedy by those facing the difficult periods (mahadasha, antardasha or transit) of Rahu (the north lunar node)
Rahu (the north lunar node) governs ambition, sudden change, foreign connections, illusion — and the Rahu and Kaal Sarp dosha; the mantra is chanted to bless and protect these areas of life
Most powerful on Saturday and during Rahu Kaal, the day of the planet; traditionally completed as a full japa of 18,000 repetitions, or 108 times daily
Often combined with wearing the planet's gemstone — Hessonite (Gomed) — after astrological consultation, charity (daan) of the planet's items, and worship of its presiding deity
Brings peace of mind and steadiness during planetary troubles; recited with the Navagraha Mantra for the balance of all nine planets
How to Chant राहु मंत्र
After a bath, sit facing east at dawn and chant "Om Ram Rahave Namah" 108 times on a mala, ideally on Saturday and during Rahu Kaal. As a full remedy for a weak or afflicted Rahu (the north lunar node), the mantra is traditionally completed as a japa of 18,000 repetitions over a fixed period, alongside the charity (daan) associated with the planet and, after consulting an astrologer, the wearing of its gemstone (Hessonite (Gomed)). Chant with faith and a calm, satvik discipline.
