Pradosh Vrat — kept on the Trayodashi (13th tithi) of each fortnight, during the Pradosh Kaal (the ~1.5 hours after sunset) — is one of the most beloved fasts for Lord Shiva. It is named after its weekday: Soma Pradosh (Monday) and Shani Pradosh (Saturday) are the most powerful. Observing it is said to remove sins and grant health, progeny and Shiva's grace.
