The Shanmukha Shatpadi Stotram is traditionally ascribed to Bharati Tirtha. A hymn to Shanmukha (Lord Murugan) in the Shatpadi ("six-footed") metre, adoring the six-faced Lord of Mayuragiri — the giver of grace, courage and the light of knowledge.

શ્રીમયૂરાચલક્ષેત્રે - (કુન્નક્કુડ્યપરનામકે) મયૂરાચલાગ્રે સદારં વસન્તં મુદારં દદાનં નતેભ્યો વરાંશ્ચ । દધાનં કરામ્ભોજમધ્યે ચ શક્તિં સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૧॥ ગિરીશાસ્યવારાશિપૂર્ણેન્દુબિમ્બં કુરઙ્ગાઙ્કધિક્કારિવક્ત્રારવિન્દમ્ । સુરેન્દ્રાત્મજાચિત્તપાથોજભાનું સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૨॥ નતાનાં હિ રાજ્ઞાં ગુણાનાં ચ ષણ્ણાં કૃપાભારતો યો દ્રુતં બોધનાય । ષડાસ્યામ્બુજાતાન્યગૃહ્ણાત્પરં તં સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૩॥ પુરા તારકં યો વિજિત્યાજિમધ્યે સુરાન્દુઃખમુક્તાંશ્ચકારાશુ મોદાત્ । તમાનન્દકન્દં કૃપાવારિરાશિં સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૪॥ શરાણાં વને જાતમેનં હિ બાલં યતઃ કૃત્તિકાઃ પાયયન્તિ સ્મ દુગ્ધમ્ । તતઃ કાર્તિકેયં વદન્તીહ યં તં સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૫॥ હરન્તં ચ બાઢં તમો હાર્દગાઢં ગવાનાદ્યયા ચાતિમોદેન લીઢમ્ । સુરેન્દ્રસ્ય પુત્ર્યા ચ ગાઢોપગૂઢં સદા ષણ્મુખં ભાવયે હૃત્સરોજે ॥ ૬॥ ઇયં ષટ્પદી યસ્ય વક્ત્રારવિન્દે વિહારં કરોત્યાદરાન્નિત્યમેવ । ષડાસ્યઃ કૃપાતઃ સમસ્તાશ્ચ વિદ્યા વિતીર્યાશુ તસ્મૈ સ્વભક્તિં દદાતિ ॥ ૭॥ ઇતિ શૃઙ્ગેરિ શ્રીજગદ્ગુરુ શ્રીસચ્ચિદાનન્દશિવાભિનવનૃસિંહ- ભારતીસ્વામિભિઃ વિરચિતઃ શ્રીષણ્મુખષટ્પદીસ્તવઃ સમ્પૂર્ણઃ ।
śrīmayūrācalakṣetre - (kunnakkuḍyaparanāmake) mayūrācalāgre sadāraṃ vasantaṃ mudāraṃ dadānaṃ natebhyo varāṃśca | dadhānaṃ karāmbhojamadhye ca śaktiṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 1|| girīśāsyavārāśipūrṇendubimbaṃ kuraṅgāṅkadhikkārivaktrāravindam | surendrātmajācittapāthojabhānuṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 2|| natānāṃ hi rājñāṃ guṇānāṃ ca ṣaṇṇāṃ kṛpābhārato yo drutaṃ bodhanāya | ṣaḍāsyāmbujātānyagṛhṇātparaṃ taṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 3|| purā tārakaṃ yo vijityājimadhye surānduḥkhamuktāṃścakārāśu modāt | tamānandakandaṃ kṛpāvārirāśiṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 4|| śarāṇāṃ vane jātamenaṃ hi bālaṃ yataḥ kṛttikāḥ pāyayanti sma dugdham | tataḥ kārtikeyaṃ vadantīha yaṃ taṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 5|| harantaṃ ca bāḍhaṃ tamo hārdagāḍhaṃ gavānādyayā cātimodena līḍham | surendrasya putryā ca gāḍhopagūḍhaṃ sadā ṣaṇmukhaṃ bhāvaye hṛtsaroje || 6|| iyaṃ ṣaṭpadī yasya vaktrāravinde vihāraṃ karotyādarānnityameva | ṣaḍāsyaḥ kṛpātaḥ samastāśca vidyā vitīryāśu tasmai svabhaktiṃ dadāti || 7|| iti śṛṅgeri śrījagadguru śrīsaccidānandaśivābhinavanṛsiṃha- bhāratīsvāmibhiḥ viracitaḥ śrīṣaṇmukhaṣaṭpadīstavaḥ sampūrṇaḥ |
