The Santoshi Mata vrat is observed for 16 consecutive Fridays. Wake early, bathe, wear yellow or red. Offer gud-chana (jaggery and chickpeas) to Santoshi Mata. Listen to or read the Santoshi Mata Vrat Katha. Sing this aarti. Important: do not consume sour food (khatta) during the vrat period.
