tān viṣaṇṇān surān dṛṣṭvā caṇḍikā prāhasatvaram uvāca kālīṃ cāmuṇḍe vistīrṇaṃ vadanaṃ kuru

Seeing the gods dejected, Chandika laughed and quickly said to Kali: 'O Chamunda, open wide your mouth!
