punaśca vajrapātena kṣatamasya śiro yadā vavāha raktaṃ puruṣāstato jātāḥ sahasraśaḥ

Meaning

And again, when his head was wounded by the fall of the thunderbolt, blood flowed, and from it men were born by the thousand.
