raktabinduryadā bhūmau patatyasya śarīrataḥ samutpatati medinyāṃ tatpramāṇo mahāsuraḥ

Meaning

Whenever a drop of blood fell from his body to the ground, there sprang up from the earth a great asura of equal stature.
