taṃ ninādamupaśrutya daityasainyaiścaturdiśam devī siṃhastathā kālī saroṣaiḥ parivāritāḥ

Meaning

Hearing that roar, the daitya armies surrounded the Devi, her lion and Kali on all four sides, full of fury.
