ardhaniṣkrānta evāsau yudhyamāno mahāsuraḥ tayā mahāsinā devyā śiraśchittvā nipātitaḥ

Meaning

Fighting thus, only half-emerged, that great asura was felled by the Devi, who cut off his head with her great sword.
