yudhyamānau tatastau tu tasmānnāgānmahīṃ gatau yuyudhāte'tisaṃrabdhau prahārairatidāruṇaiḥ

Meaning

Fighting, the two then came down from the elephant to the earth, and battled, greatly enraged, with most terrible blows.
