Complete Translation
Om. This is the Ram Raksha Stotra mantra. The sage is Budha Kaushika. The deity is Sri Sita Ramachandra. The meter is Anushtup. Sita is the Shakti. Shrimad Hanuman is the key. This is used for the pleasure of Sri Ramachandra.
Meditate on Ramachandra — with arms reaching to his knees, holding bow and arrows, seated in lotus posture, wearing yellow garments, with eyes rivaling fresh lotus petals, serene. Sita sits on his left, her lotus face reflected in his eyes. Dark as a rain cloud, resplendent with ornaments, with a great crown of matted locks.
The story of Raghunatha extends over a hundred crore verses. Each single syllable of it destroys the greatest sins of mankind.
'Rama Rama' — by repeating Ram's name, I delight in Ram, the delightful one. O beautiful-faced one, Ram's name is equal to chanting a thousand names of Vishnu.
Ram, the jewel among kings, is ever victorious. I worship Ram, the lord of Rama (Lakshmi). The demon army was destroyed by Ram. I bow to that Ram. There is no higher refuge than Ram. I am Ram's servant. May my mind always dissolve in Ram. O Ram, uplift me!
I bow again and again to Sri Ram — the remover of calamities, the giver of all prosperity, the delight of all worlds.
Thus ends the Sri Ram Raksha Stotra composed by Sage Budha Kaushika.
