Verse 1

ॐ नमः शनैश्चराय मन्दाय शनैश्चराय। नमो नीलांजनसमाभासाय सूर्यपुत्राय। नमो भयंकराय रौद्ररूपाय नमः शनैश्चराय॥

Om Namah Shanaishcharaya Mandaya Shanaishcharaya Namo Neelanjanasama Bhasaya Suryaputraya Namo Bhayankaraya Raudrarupaya Namah Shanaishcharaya

Om salutations to Shanaishchara (Saturn), the slow-moving one. Salutations to the one dark as blue collyrium, son of the Sun. Salutations to the terrifying one, of fierce form — salutations to Saturn.

Verse 2

कोणस्थो मन्दगः कृष्णो शनैश्चरो भयप्रदः। शानिर्मन्दश्छायापुत्रो बभ्रुः कृष्णो नभोमणिः॥

Konastho Mandagah Krishno Shanaishcharo Bhayapradah Shanirmandash Chhayaputro Babhruh Krishno Nabhomanih

Saturn stands in corners, moves slowly, is dark, fearsome. He is Shani, the slow one, son of Chhaya (Shadow), brown-dark, the jewel of the sky.

Verse 3

नमो नमः शनैश्चराय नमो नमः प्रसीद प्रसीद त्वं मेऽनुकम्पितः दशरथस्य राज्ञो गृहाद् अपगच्छ भगवन् दशरथस्य च गृहाद् नक्षत्रेभ्यश्च सर्वेभ्यः सदा रक्षा कुरु प्रभो॥

Namo Namah Shanaishcharaya Namo Namah Praseeda Praseeda Tvam Me Anukampitah Dasharathasya Rajno Grihad Apagachchha Bhagavan Dasharathasya Cha Grihad Nakshatrebhyash Cha Sarvebhyah Sada Raksha Kuru Prabho

Salutations, salutations to Saturn! Be pleased, be pleased! Have compassion on me. O Lord, depart from the house of King Dasharatha. From the houses and from all the stars — always grant protection, O Lord.
